Tanager was a key part of the Defense Intelligence Agency Insider Threat Program which was recognized for excellence in establishing a robust integrated program leveraging the combined capabilities of counterintelligence, security, information assurance, human capital, and other critical mission areas to detect, identify, and respond to the threat posed by the trusted insider. This effort was accomplished 90 days prior to the 21 November 2012 Presidential Memorandum codifying the National Insider Threat Policy and Minimum Standards for Executive Branch Insider Threat Programs. It captured the synergy of its various elements to detect, deter, defeat, or otherwise mitigate the insider threat. In 2012, the program had an active role in the identification and/or resolution of 11 counterintelligence and 197 security-related matters.
Since 2010 Tanager Inc. has provided the full spectrum of support to the IC, DOD, FedCIV and commercial sectors and has emerged as a leading small business provider and respected advisor within the insider threat community.
